Hunger (Date and Time TBD)

This workshop will begin the gentle inquiry of your hunger in a parts mapping experiential exercise. We’ll explore who’s hungry, what you’re hungry for, and how to identify when it’s time to eat!

  • Who’s at the Table in your inner world
  • How you identify hunger sensations
  • How does hunger impact your mood and energy?

Fullness (Date and Time TBD)

In this workshop, we’ll spend time defining fullness and satiety and our innate wisdom in knowing when to end the meal. In an experiential exercise, you’ll discover the parts of you at odds with each other around fullness and begin to develop a deeper understanding of their needs and what drives them to fulfill those needs.

  • What is fullness, satiety, satisfaction, and contentment?
  • How do you know when to end a meal?
  • How does fullness impact you?

Body Image (Date and Time TBD)

This workshop encourages exploration of the sensations in our body that affect how we see ourselves and expose the parts expressing those to our compassion. We’ll also see how body diversity is expected, and how we can learn to encourage and respect the variations we see.

  • Define and explore body image.
  • Staying with Sensation so we stop pushing emotions away.
  • Transforming internalized body loathing and shame into liking and accepting your body.

Burdens: Personal, Legacy, Cultural (Date and Time TBD)

In this experiential workshop, we’ll set out to discover:

  • How did we become disconnected from our Self wisdom?
  • Mapping legacy burdens.

Nadine Lucas, LMHC, RPT, SoulCollage® Facilitator

PATH Founder/President & PATH Workshop and Meeting Facilitator

As a person in recovery, Nadine understands the challenges that people struggling with “addiction” may face. She believes that understanding, educating, and raising awareness of how trauma plays a role in addiction is a fundamental step in ending the cycle of addiction around the world.

“I have a history of disordered eating and attended Overeater’s Anonymous on and off for over 30 years. I found the program and support helpful. I wasn’t alone anymore! I developed a loving relationship and trust with my sponsor. She validated my experiences and loved me unconditionally, which brought me tremendous healing.

Recently, in my 50s I discovered IFS. It has changed. My. Life! It is a completely different paradigm than 12 step programs, one that resonated with me on a profound level. I fell in love with IFS… and found that it provided a roadmap for deep healing from the trauma underlying my addictions. Trauma is at the root of addiction and in IFS, Self-compassion is at the root of healing. Compassion, which is love, heals inner conflict and suffering. This is done by befriending all aspects of ourselves and developing an internal relationship of self-love.

The IFS language and paradigm is unique. I found myself longing to share my IFS experience of healing with others utilizing the model. But there were no IFS support programs for folks like me in recovery from addictions and trauma. Then one day I had an epiphany. Why not create support groups based on IFS language and principles!? Hence, PATH was born.”
